For some time now, a series of exquisite barrel-aged beers has crowned the selection: For this series of very special beers, the brewers take already intense, multi-layered beers and give them the finishing touches by maturing them in wooden barrels.The Weizenbock Sherry is one of these beers. The cold-hopped Weizenbock serves as the basis, while used barrels that previously contained the finest Pedro Ximénez sherry are responsible for the refinement. The sherry has long since been drunk, but its unmistakable taste is still in the wood and is passed on to the beer during the seven months of storage. In the end, the beer creation is a noble drop with earthy wood notes, hints of spicy vanilla, a good portion of sherry flavor and the fruity and hoppy character of wheat bock.
