This was when the brewery was founded in the center of the idyllic village of Memmelsdorf and its success story began. More than 565 years later, the brewers are commemorating this special year with a wonderful beer: their 1457 Lager is a tribute to the good old days and the founding spirit of their ancestors.Cheers to the brewery’s forefathers and the hard-working family that continues their legacy to this day!Tasting the Franconian lager is a pleasure right from the start: the strong beer flows out of the bottle in a warm chestnut brown and rests in the glass with a shimmering copper-red color and a stately, off-white crown. A stimulating mixture of nutty malt, toffee and flowery hops emerges from the airy splendor, which is also reflected in the taste. On the tongue, 1457 is delicately malty. Notes of gently roasted cereals and oven-fresh bread spread out in the mouth and meet delicate citrus notes, candied oranges, creamy caramel and restrained hop notes in the course of the drinking experience. The latter provide hints of grass and a harmonious bitterness. A hint of white grape skilfully rounds off the flavour profile.Memmelsdorfer Lager is a masterpiece of Franconian brewing!
