Salz Sonnenflocken “Sun flakes” 80g Pakistan

These sun flakes are produced exclusively by hand in a seawater saline on the coast of Pakistan. They are a genuine fleur de sel. On hot and windy days, the evaporation of the seawater creates small salt flowers on the surface of the water, resembling a fine layer of ice. These are skimmed off by hand with a wooden ladle.
To turn the moist fleur de sel into our snow-white sun flakes, the freshly harvested salt is dried under glass panes in the sun. The drying process changes the structure of the salt. The moist Fleur de Sel becomes beautiful salt flakes, similar to Murray River salt.
