Cassis (Blackcurrants) Latvia

With their refreshing, slightly sour taste, blackcurrants, or cassis, are one of the most valuable fruits of our latitudes. The slightly sugared dried berries are excellent mixed with other berries and nuts. They are also ideal for berry grits, smoothies, blackcurrant milkshakes or for breakfast bowls. Depending on the use, the dried berries must be soaked beforehand.
